Red face allergies

i think i have allergies , hate to sound gross but when i blow my nose i have alot of clear mucus to the point it fills the klenex and have to blow my nose several times a day. was tested for allergies doing a blood test due to the fact i was on beta blockers for my blood pressure and could not be taken off them to do a skin test. the blood test came back negitave for any allgeries but my nose runs constantly to the point it becomes sore at times where i have to blow my nose so much. i can bend over and my nose will fill up and i have to blow it again no matter how long it had been since the last time i have blowed it i have no clue what i could be allgeric to if anything . anyone got any ideas.
thanks

Re: allergies

Depending on what test was done, it might not be 100% accurate. It may be you have allergies and the test missed them.

Or, it could be you have what's called non-allergic rhinitis. Your nose runs a lot, but it's not caused by allergies. It can be treated through prescription nasal sprays, or sometimes just by rinsing the sinuses with saline.

See an allergist or ENT for more accurate diagnosis.

Re: allergies

As long as it doesn't have a "D" component (decongestant)it should be OK to take. And actually, as long as your blood pressure is under control with meds, most docs don't have a problem with you taking a decongestant short term if you need it. You could ask. The main prohibition is when it isn't under control. Hope the zyrtec helps. Works well for me and many others.
