| Dermographia - friction allergy
I've had extremely sensitive skin for 30 years, but as I age, it seems to get worse. I've managed it by wearing loose clothing, but I haven't found any footwear that won't give me a rash. Elidel helps a little bit, but not great. Dipping my feet into extremely hot water helps when it gets to the itchy stage, but just to get the itch to stop for a few hours. Benedryl has helped a little, but I can't take that anymore, due to my coronary health issues. I need to exercise to lose weight, but we live out in the country, so walking is free & the most convenient. However, I can't get a regime going for long, because of the rashes caused by wearing shoes. Also, I've been a homeschool mom, so I could get by with not wearing shoes most of the time. All my kids are in college, so we'd like me to earn some money, but that usually means wearing shoes for hours.
Does anyone have any suggestions that I haven't tried?
