Omnaris

I went to refill my omnaris rx and the pharmicist told me it was pulled off the market. The only other spray that helps is Rhinocourt which is not covered by my insurance. And I've tried a generic but similar drug to Rhinocourt but it made my nose burn so much. I don't know what to do. Plus, I moved to TX and now have no idea of what doctor would see me because I have medicare. I had to pay out of pocket the last time and I can't afford that.

What am I supposed to do?

Re: Omnaris

Omnaris hasn't been "pulled off the market" but there was an issue at the manufacturer that caused a serious supply shortage that makes it hard to find. I've read that the shortage should be resolved in the next few months but there's no clear end to the shortage in sight.

You might try ordering Rhinocort from a reputable Canadian pharmacy where it available as a generic and costs less money. Usually they will have the UK or Australian version available for about $30 but you will need to send them a prescription (and make sure they are a legitimate licensed pharmacy).

Re: Omnaris

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I don't normally deal with that pharmacy so I don't know why they had the wrong information...now my rx is expired so I have a call into my doc to refill it. Hopefully they have it in stock. The only problem with the rhinocourt is that I'm SSDI and SSI and I'm still trying to pay off hospital bills, so I don't think I'd be able to even afford that right now.
