2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? Anyone else find this is perhaps the worst year for pollen allergies? Weither hay fever or other?? I know where I am in Canada plus parts of the USA in the same heat way its just brutal! Anyones symptoms different because of this? Because mine went from runny nose and itchy eyes to tight throat, post nasal drip, and brutal ear pressure almost like my eustachian tubes are blocked solid! |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I'm sure it was....the light winter, early growing season, crazy weather patterns with searing heat then days of rain will drive you nuts. |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? Yeah it's bad , can't function at all. These climate changes are really playing havoc with people |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? Liquidplasma where abouts in Canada are you? I'm having the exact same symptoms. The eustachian tubes are driving me bonkers and nothing seems to help! |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I found that the 2010 season was epically bad. Wound up with asthma, where I'd never had any lung problems of any kind ever before! I've now been on allergy shots for a little more than two years, though, so I'm actually doing pretty well this allergy season. The pollen counts are high, but I barely feel it. |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I don't think so unless you have some kind of research to back your claim. |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I'm in Montreal , I heard off the news that because of the drought this year the pollen is much more airborn since the ground is super dry.when there is normal rain flow throughout spring / summer the ground is more dense and harder to kick aeround |

Hopefully everything I'm going through is allergies and nothing more serious. My ear tubes are blocked even when using nasonex and netipot. My throat is irritated and tight plus I have a post nasal drip that comes and goes as it pleases! The nasal drip is the worst, cause stomach upset from all the crap leaking down . |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I think because I'm in California it's been worse for me personally because of all the weather changes all the time! One day it's 100 degrees, the next day it's raining. And that's in the WINTER. Summer has been pretty wild too. For me it's actually not been as bad, although I have found myself having to take Zyrtec more than usual. |

Even my husband, who has never had allergies, can feel it! |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I am so happy I found this thread!! I was beginning to think the doctors were missing something and I had some weird infection or disease! I have NEVER had allergies. This year, I have had ear, nose and throat tightness with post nasal drip since June. At times I have had to lay down and relax because I start to panic, it's so bad. I've been to my PCP twice (had a complete blood workup done, all normal) and an Urgent Care doctor. Both have told me I have allergies and to take Zyrtec D. But I lack all of the other "normal" symptoms.. sneezing, runny nose etc.. |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I don't have the normal symptoms either and those were the ones I'm used to every year. This year I have none of those but instead I got ( post nasal drip, sore throat, jaw pressure, top teeth hurt from sinus pressure, hot and humid day I get tired same with windy days, and muscle aches.just last week we finally had a temperature shift to cool windless days and tada symptoms all but disappeared. So your not alone , my ENT put me on a steroid nasal spray and singulair meds daily and I still get affects. So far 2012 has been pure garbage my symptoms started April then went away in may and rampaged back June and still going strong |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? This has been a terrible year! I have had head pressure, sinus pain, post nasal drip, extreme fatigue. I've since started allergy shots, steroid nasal spray, and allergy meds.. NO relief. Here's to hoping 2013 is a better allergy season |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? Has anyone felt relieve yet and has anyone spent their whole summer with sinus pressure and pain?? |
Re: 2012 worst allergy season perhaps ever?? I just started to dry out the last 2 days, the temp dropped 20 degrees in NYC so now I have dry sinuses......Great! |
