I have been taking allergy shots since July 2,2012.
I am now on my 4th shot of my 2nd vial.
I am having some allergy symptoms (stuffy
Head, stuffy ears, light headed) especially
right before I'm due for my next shot.
I was told by the allergy nurse last week
that I will reach maintenance at the end
of this 2nd vial?? I thought reaching
maintenance took a lot longer? Has anyone
heard of reaching maintenance so soon?
Unless they have you on some type of stepped up schedule, I have never heard of reaching maintenance quite so quickly. I think I went thru 5 vials before maintenance. I started out with 6 shots/vial, but then due to reactions, was slowed down to a more gradual increase with 11 shots/vial. Your symptoms are probably due to your normal allergies, it would be rare for the shots to be effective against your allergies in 2 months time. Mine took 12-18 months before the various allergens began to affect me less. Are you getting shots weekly?
