Keep getting hives

I've been breaking out in hives lately, some days it's not too bad. I think it's partly allergy. Today it's real bad and I can't seem to sit still. I feel like I'm going to crawl out of my skin - like my nerves are all jittery. I'm not on any drugs of any kind - just allegra for the hives. That usually helps with the itching but today not so much. Can the nerves cause hives? I over did some exercising on Fri and I've been paying for it since - back pain and nerve pain.
Today I'm just so jittery and shaky and can't sit still - along with the hives. And I feel like crying all day.

Also, I'm 65 and wonder if I'm going through menopause. I get hot flashes and spacy feelings lately, like I'm in another world, not really dizzy but just spaced out. I had a hysterectomy about 30 years ago, can I still be going through menopause?

Re: Keep getting hives

Try Zyrtec. It's usually better for hives. And no, you would have gone thru meno when you had the hysterectomy. Sounds like you have some allergy issues going on.

Thanks, I haven't tried Zyrtec. I've been taking Allegra, it sometimes helps but not always. I'll try Zyrtec
