Is there a homeopathic remedy for parasites.

There are, but as I recall, they are disgusting tasting teas. The names of the particular herbs escape me right now. I'll have to dig out my herb books when I get home and look them up. As I recall, I was able to obtain them at my local health food store that sold exotic bulk herbs. I'm not sure that they really worked.

The poster was asking about HOMEOPATHIC remedies for parasites, not HERBAL remedies. There is a difference between the two and drinking foul tasting herbal tea is definitely not homeopathic. You can take remedies in tincture form, but they do not taste of anything in particular, except maybe the alcohol preservative. Herbs on their own have not been potentised and you are taking the crude substance, where as all homepathic remedies have been potentised. If a substance is not potentised, then it is not homeopathic.

In answer to the original poster, yes, there is a specific homepathic remedy for parasites, but I have forgotten the name. Other than that, you need to take a remedy that matches the symptoms that you are having with the parasite infection.

If you have stomach pains, diarrhea, fever possibly and an itching anus, then you need a remedy that matches this picture. It all depends on the symptoms that you have as to which remedy you would need.

I would suggest that you either go and see a homeopath or an ND that practices homeopathy and they will be able to help you by taking your case properly. A good constitutional remedy in addition to an acute remedy in a low potency to help target your stomach and bowels, if they are causing you problems may work very well.

I live too many miles from the nearest ND, and I'm not certain that I have parasites. I was diagnosed with IBS, but have been reading a lot about that being misdiagnosed. This sounds disgusting, but I saw what looked like a worm in my stool. I have used the Homeopathic remedies before and find them gentle and effective. Super Sarah if you can find the remedy for parasites, I would appreciate it. I read where you are studying Homeopathy and wish I had the time to do the same. I find it very interesting and I know that some of it works. Maybe some day I will find time to learn more about it.

I don't have fever, and I go from diarrhea to constipation, and very restless nights. I always wake up in the middle of the night needing to have a bowel movement. I don't have much pain, but have a lot of gas.

I will try and find out the specific remedy for parasites, but in the meantime, can you get hold of any Sulphur? Sulphur seems to cover all the symptoms you are complaining of and especially the urgency to pass stools at night, as well as the diarrhea alternating with constipation, gas and restless sleep. You should be able to get some from a health food store and if you can get it in a 6 or a 30c and take it three times daily for about three days to see whether there is any improvement.

A lot of your symptoms can be attributed to IBS however, but if you feel that you may have parasites, then certainly, the Sulphur is worth a try.

I don't know whether you are taking anything for your IBS, but if not, Metamucil is a water soluble fiber supplement and is good for diarrhea/constipation. Take it twice daily with about 6 to 8 glasses of water. Also, eating live yogurt or taking Acidophilus caps is good for rebalancing your good gut bacteria and will help with gas and diarrhea/constipation also. Keep in the fridge and take twice daily on an empty stomach. You should start to notice the difference in about a week or so.

I'll try and find the specific remedy, but in the meantime try the Sulphur and see.
