Homeopathy to Rx osteoarthritis of knee - Alternative Medicine Message Board

Hi, I was reading another thread and noticed there seem to be a lot of people on this board who have had positive experiences with homeopathy.
Does anyone know if it can treat bad osteoarthritis. My friend recently had knee surgery and has been told she has OA and a total knee replacement is inevetible at some point. She is just trying to make that point more distant. Thanks

Hi,
As you may know osteoarthritis is the deterioration of the cartledge in joints.Homeopathic medicine just is not going to do anything to replace the cartledge. It could help the pain but so can alot of other medication.

Some people have had some amazing results using two supplements --Glucosamine Sulfate and Chondroitin Sulfate including my wife. But, I have read some studies where it has been found that it doesn't work for everyone.I think It's worth a try.

Thanks Harry, she is already taking those two meds. She is some better since the surgery but just looking for more improvement. She is thinking of getting an injection of Synvis it is susposed to make you grow new cartilage or something.

Hi bjk47, has she tried cetyl myristoleate? There is a Japanese company that has a product with cetyl myristoleate, glucosamine and methyl sulfonylmethane. It is the maximum concentration of cetyl myristoleate (30%) available. Its some pretty incredible stuff , please check it out. Good luck
