Have him try a very good neck exercise. One that I do, when my neck is out of sorts is a head roll. What you do is put your head down on your chest and roll your head to the left to your shoulder, then to your back, to the other shoulder, and finally back to your chest. Do this 3 times to the left and 3 times to the right. Do not strain when you do it. It may take several weeks to do good, but it will work. Essentially, what you are doing with this exercise is getting a neck adjustment over a period of time, just about like what a chiropracter would do.
If he uses the computer all of the time he should do this exercise several times per day. Remember, never put a strain on the neck, when doing the exercise.
