| Re: spitting up phlem in morning...what to do?
Dr. Tony,
You're reply to the guy that has phlegm in the morning was interesting! I have had that off and on for several years. Right now I am on asthma medication for it because my lung function test was a little low. Do you think abnormal eating, digestion, etc. could cause the lungs to function a little below normal? I don't have typical asthma. I use to get bronchitis a lot and cough, but in the last year I have built up my immune system with supplements and have been healthy. But I have never wheezed, or had nightime symtoms, and had an "attack" But this diagnosis is a second opinion, so I'm not ingnoring it. I do take Advair, lot of vitamin C, magnesium, B's, nose spray and I have been walking /running 2 miles a day. Even my allergy doctor said you can increase lung capacity by really working the lungs. So I exercize and really get my lungs going for about 45 minutes a day. But I have often wondered if I cut out sugar completely (this is my weakness) and the bad carbs, would it make a difference. I would like your opinion. Thanks>
