Craniosacral Therapy - Your Experience

If you've tried "Craniosacral Therapy", what was your experience?
Why did you try it? What were your results? Would you recommend it?
What were your sources of research? etc.

Thanks.

Re: Craniosacral Therapy - Your Experience

It was nice and relaxing to get. I was getting it from my PT for back pain. But for this it didn't help me much.

Re: Craniosacral Therapy - Your Experience

My massage therapist recommended craniosacral therapy for me after I had reached a plateau in my treatment after a car accident. I had a stressful job at the time and tension headaches as well. My first session was the most relaxing thing I had ever experienced. When it was over, I said WOW!, what did you do to me? She said that she down-regulated my autonomic nervous system. I run on alot of nervous energy anyway, so it was really nice to experience and be in a very relaxed place both mentally and physically. I simply looked them up in the yellow pages, as I had no direct reference. They had a nice website which explained the different treatments their office offered and the credentials of their therapists. I still go occassionally, as I am having alot of dental work done, which aggravates my TMJ.
