Changed my diet..

Hey all --

After years of eating semi-healthy, yet still making poor dietary decisions..
( Heavy meals before sleeping, Fast food lunch/dinners, not eating enough fruit/vegetables, weekend binge drinking.. ) i decided to make a big change in my diet because i was feeling so run down and sluggish.

I'm intaking more fiber, lots of fruits and vegetables, good fats, whole grains, lean meats, just cheese on the dairy side, lots of water, and i've cut out all the refinded foods, sugars, bad fats, red meat.. etc. I've also been doing 30 min of aerobic activity 4 times a week.

I've only been doing this ( the better diet thing, i was doing exercise before ) for about 4 days now, and its like my body HATES me?? I get dizzy spells, mind fogginess, cold hands and feet, lack of energy... all the symptoms come and go... but i thought if i changed for the better, wouldnt my body immediately change for the better as well?

Is this normal for my body to feel bad before it gets better?
Anyone else experience this?

Any input would be great...

Thanks

Drew

Re: Changed my diet..

your body is just going through cold turkey from the change in pattern from the way you use to eat. Its detoxing in other words.

A lot of times if we eat a lot of sugar, and cut it down to natural sugars i.e. oranges, your body has to adjust. Sugar withdrawal can make you feel sick for a little while, as well as withdrawal from fattening foods, but not long. Its a good sign, it means you colon is being cleansed. Anyone who has ever had colonics done knows how it can make you feel aweful at first, but afterwards you get so much more energy and clear mind.

drink lots of herbal teas especially ones with green tea, chamomile, and peppermint. It will help relax you
