Question Drinking wine for stomach

I posted a similiar thread on general health, as well. I have been hearing lately that drinking a little wine a day is good for your stomach, as well as your general health. I was wondering if anyone can verify this for me. I would appreciate any information! Thanks!

Re: Drinking wine for stomach

I've read many times that a little red wine has health benefits because of it's antioxidants such as for the heart and certain cancers but have never heard of this for white wine. A little means one or two glasses a day. I've never heard it benefiting the stomach. Aloe Vera is good for the stomach. For more information do a search using the words: health benefits of red wine. You'll get lots more information. I can drink white wine but not red wine. Red wine gives me a headache the next morning. If you can handle red wine then have it and enjoy.

Thumbs down Re: Drinking wine for stomach

Hi,
I have never heard of drinking red or white wine for the stomach. You have to look it up nut through my experience, red wine upsets my stomach and gives me diarea. Look it up though because that is the way it works on me.

Red face Re: Drinking wine for stomach

Hi WV,
I made a mistake, lol. It looks like I am calling you a nut but I meant to write now through my experience. I'm so sorry, lol. I'm not calling you a nut.

Re: Drinking wine for stomach

If I don't have some white wine before dinner to relax it, I usually will get sick. Plus it gives me an appetite. But can't tolerate the reds. Or the whites if they're too sugary.

I have major stomach issues........gastritis, IBS, along with other illnesses.

Helps me alot.
