I have been diagnosed with veinous insuffiency. I don't have any really serious vericose veins showing, but I have the damaged valves in my legs that cause circulation problems. I take Hawthorne standardized to 1.8% vitexen(SIC) and this helps me tremendously. I take 2 capsules three times per day. If you are taking any heart medication, you should not take any Hawthorne without checking with a doctor that is knowledgable about what hawthorne does. In fact you shoulld check with a doctor any way. What hawthorne does is strenthen the heart beat and improve circulation in the extremities.
Before I started using hawthorne, I had cramps in my legs after walking only about 200 yeards. After I bagan to take hawthorne, I walk 2 miles in about 35 minutes, with no difficulty.
