Senna, chinese mallow, how often? Is it safe?

Hi,
I suffer from constipation and found that when it really gets bad, I drink this tea called "California's dieter's tea" which is a chinese, natural herbal tea that contains "chinese mallow" and "senna." Well, my tummy has been hurting for 2 days almost and I drank my first cup on saturday, and one yesterday. Yes it worked as far as bowel movements, and I know I'm not done. My main question is, is it recommended to take drink this product like once a month, once a week, what do you think?

I am familiar with this tea and it is my feeling that it is not a healthy choice for constipation. Senna is a very harsh laxative that can cause internal problems on your stomach.
if you have trouble with constipation then better to use fibers instead or take 1000 mg of calcium and 1000 mg. of maginesum before you go to bed. Make sure it is calcium citrate. This is a sure way to wake up with lose bowels. The magesium relaxes your stomach.
The Chinese Diet Tea causes people to lose weight only tempoary cause it is a laxative that rids your body of fluid and waste. It could potentially be harmful. If you use it once in a blue moon- then you are fine but no weekly and not daily.

Armadillo pie,
I'm very interested in the magnesium solution for constipation. I thought equal supplies of calcuim amd magnesium offset one another. Meaning you should take a larger dose of magnesium. Why does one need the calcium along with the magnesium anyway?

Would magnesium citrate and calcium citrate be the best combination?

How do you feel about non-laxative stool softners?

I'm trying fiber but I'm not really getting the desired results. Help...

Arm,
I already take magnesium and calcium, lol. I don't plan on taking senna every week, maybe every month. But, my tummy is really hurting today, it has been for 3 days, and i may go see a doc cause I'm pretty sick.

And Alien,
Calcium is much better absorbed when magnesium is taken with it. Why, I dunno!
