any avid pau d' arco users here? a few questions (kinda long)

i'm new to the health conscience crowd and recently discovered this herb on my own by reserch. i found only 2 places to get it in my area so far, whole foods and henreys. they sell it in capsel form and in liquid form(glass vile with the little ruber squeze thing on top) i bought the capsel form today. upon a little more research i found that capsel form is not the best way take it. "tea" is the best form, and it should alway be with another herb "yerbamate" to enhance the effectivness.

my questions are:

how do i get it in tea form?

is yerbamate a hard herb to find?

i havent statred anything yet, is there anything i should know before starting this rutine? i also got alfalfa and a muti vitimin.

this might be pretty basic stuff, but like i said, i'm new to "herbs", this forum, and to being health conscience in general. i'm 24 (and in good health...somewhat) and for the most part have ate like crap the majority of my adult life (so basicly the last few years) and am going to change that in a big way. the plan is to detox, and follow a stedy died of organic food, pau 'd arco/yebamate, and a muti vitimin. opinions and advise welcomed.

thanks in advance, chris

Hi dub head,

I drink pau d arco tea that I steep myself, purchased at a health food grocery store and I love the taste. For what reason will you be using it?

why not?

generally to feel better, prevent cancer, prevent infection, strenthen emunitity, ect.

why do you take it?

do you take it with yerbamate?

how do you fell after regular usage?

do you know the difference between ingesting it in capsel vs liquid vs tea?

do i come off as eager to learn?

I use it for Candida, not with yerbamate - never heard of that. Its one of many things I take and I don't use it regularly. It's also good for constipation.

I drink it every morning instead of coffee. I add a little soy milk to it. I find it gives me energy and also is good for relaxing the intestines. I buy it at Trader Joe's, but I see it as all the health food stores. It is easy to buy. When I did a detox awhile ago, they gave this in the morning instead of coffee. It cleans you system out.
