Adrenal Glands/Support

I am thinking that alot of my tireness may be from my adrenal glands being depleted. My althernative MD said my thyroid was on the low side- gave me iodine, but I am still exhausted a lot of the time. My accupunturist thinks it may adrenals.

Anyone have any tips on what to do for them? Or has personally had depleted adrenals and what did you do?

I am considering taking a saliva test to check them Also I am doing 5 mg. of DHEA sub-lingual daily, as well as compounded Chinese herbs and vitamins.

Re: Adrenal Glands/Support

Hi Armadillo, I remember many years ago I was see a chiropractor and told him I felt tired and runned downed. He was into alternative medicine and said he thought my adrenals were out of whack. He gave me a supplement to take which helped tremendously. Unfortunatly I don't remember what it was I would go to the health food store and ask them if they carry some kind of supplement. Good luck! Jules

Re: Adrenal Glands/Support

I think it's a good idea that you get a saliva test done to test your adrenal glands. Some people with low functioning adrenals have had good results with adrenal support supplements, such as Mil Adregen and Isocort.

Have you posted at the Addison's Disease section of the forum yet? There should be some good info there concerning the adrenals, and tests to have done.

Re: Adrenal Glands/Support

I take GFS Herbal for my adreanal glands...GFS also works, but there are complications with the meds I take.
A laser treatemnt might also be benificial!! If a laser is used on your glands, it will activate production.

No one mentioned homeopathic remedies. I have found them very helpful in the past.
