Hi there .

I'm new to this Natural Medicine post . tho have been on others .
I was diagnosed 16yrs ago with "possible MS".. which led me to search for mentors and answers .
Eventually discovered a wonderful guy

who lived 100 % macrobiotically , that is eating Japanese lifestyle , miso soup, & brown rice , not white , every morning , was yummy !.. all great recipes I learnt ..
I changed my diet and followed his teachings , leaving all western food alone , and the result within two months was amazing !.. people couldn't believe I had MS,
I also found a retired lecturer/ pathlogist at our local medical school , who taught me about the body , he told me to cut out ALL Saturated FATS , absolutely completely , and take the best Evening Primrose capsules , 9 per day , which i did , the money didn't matter , I wanted to get better !..
I lived macrobiotically for 9 months and all symptoms disappeared for 10 years ..
I wouldv'e continued , but my husband got upset eating the food , even tho he loved it , because he lost weight , he was trying to get his muscles pumped up .. haa haa , his legs were getting thinner !..
I lost weight of course , (I needed to ), cos of no junk food , but it was all worth it , ..
so , now 16years later , I've had 3 spinal operations , due to massive calcification compressing the spinal cord , which looked as if it was MS because of the subsequent numbness , etc , but it wasn't at that stage ;
but just recently the first ever MS plaque was discovered on my cord by an MRI Scan , so i have TWO things wrong with me !..
.. I am fine , but I know i should be back to eating japanese way, am thinking seriously about it ;
it's a lot of dedication , i will have to gear my head up to do it again, but i cannot express my admiration for the Macrobiotic food .
find a genuine teacher of Macrobiotics , not a charlatan type person , as it won't work if not taught correctly .
I hope this wee bit I've added on to this post might tweak someone 's interest or help give them another idea about an alternative style diet?.. Kind regards Belle
