They are talking about a homeopathic remedy called Nat Phos on the Acid Reflux board. It contains sodium phosphate which from what I've been reading is a cell salt taken from plants. It is said not to be like table salt, and will not raise your blood pressure. I took it for 3 days and found that my top number is about 7-10 points higher (129 instead of 117-122). My bottom number is staying between 75 and 79 versus 65-74.
I take 20 mg of Lisinopril and half of a 25mg Atenolol a day.
Does anyone know about homeopathic cell salts, and if they can raise blood pressure? I stopped taking the Nat Phos last night and am waiting until I get information on blood pressure before starting it again. Any help will be appreciated.

A Homeopath would give the definitive answer but to my knowledge, the way homeopathic pellets are diluted, there is no actual trace of the original substance in the pellet. It is simply a changed molecule enrobed in lactose or some other sugar. Maybe you were just a little tense when you took your B.P. due to anxiety of a new supplement. Make sure your bladder is empty before you measure B.P., and that your feet are square on the floor.
