Anyone here used apple cider vinegar for warts?
My sister in law just tried it in combination with duct tape on her daughter's plantars wart, and it worked like a charm.
I've got one on my finger right at the nail bed and it's a real bugger. I've had it frozen twice with liquid nitrogen at the dr's office, but it hurt like you wouldn't believe and still came back. So I'm trying various other remedies.

She did a five minute soak every other day, and used the duct tape between soaks. I started with that, but decided to increase the soak time to two hours/day every day to be a little more aggressive. It's pretty sore, but seems to be helping. Anyone else tried it?

Update. Ok, I soaked it for two hours/day for three days in a row. That's all I could stand. After that it throbbed for two days. It responded the same way as it would to freezing, which is very interesting. The skin around it is healthy, while the wart itself first swelled a bit and turned bright white. Then it calmed down and developed all kinds of little dark spots (basically like scabbing) inside. Most of that has come off now, but knowing the depth of this wart I don't think it's quite dead yet. So I'm starting the treatments again for a couple of days to see how much further I can get. I'm very encouraged by the results though.

A doctor can literally remove it from your skin. It probably has DEEP roots. It seems the way your doing it is very time consuming and open to infection.

I've seen many doctors over the years and none have been able to help with this particular one. Other warts I've had were not so difficult.

I've had no problem with infection, and actually it is doing very well. (Note, ACV has wonderful antifungal and antibacterial properties). Yes it takes time, that is clear. But the only other option I had left was a cream my last dr prescribed that would also slowly burn it off over the course of a year or so. Of course it's got potential side effects as most prescriptions do. Between that and the ACV, I much prefer to go the natural route.

I have now been able to remove the top layer of dead wart and am getting in deeper. I just soak it each day until it starts to hurt and then cover it with duct tape. I can already see healthy skin coming back as it shrinks around the edges.
