nausea from fish oil - Alternative Medicine Message Board

Does anyone else feel nauseous after taking fish oil? I use Carlson liquid fish oil that's lemon flavored. I've also tried fish oil capsules and get nauseous from them too Any suggestions? TIA.

I have tried the best of them that have fruit flavors and are suppose to have the fishy flavor out of them but I still get the nasty after taste and end up with nausea and give them away. I have heard flaxseed oil is just as good. I am trying that next!

Are you going to take the oil or buy it in capsule form? I used to take the capsules that I bought at Trader Joe's and they didn't bother my digestion. Maybe I'll try them again. Good luck and let me know how you do with the flaxseed oil.

Have you tried it on an empty stomach, this way it goes into the digestive track faster and doesn't sit in the gut.

No, I've never thought of that, but I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
