| 2nd day of 7 day juice fast
I'm not really hungry. I do miss the whole ceremonial aspect of meals, it's usually something to look forward to.
I have done several juice fast in the past few years. but this one is the easiest by far. I have not had any headaches and I have a fair amount of energy. I feel the 3 day prep was the best thing I could do. I had no alcohol, caffeine, or fatty foods for the 3 day precedining. I also think I feel good becuase I don't have much to cleanse. Other than the 10 lbs. of lasagna I ate at christmas time I eat pretty healthy. I should eat more greens, but I am a vegan most of the time with some dairy exceptions on the weekend. I have lost 4 pounds since yesterday, but I assume that was mostly material in my digestive system. I expect the weight loss to slow down tomorrow.
My intake consists of a detox tea made with a variety of roots (I'll provide more specifics if anyone wants it) This tea is to aid in detoxing the liver and kidneys which should be beneficial. I usually drink 2 glasses of red wine at the end of the day so I am sure my liver needs some cleaning.
Yesterday I had 16 oz. of beet, carrot, cucumber, and wheatgrass juice in the morning. 4oz. of Bolthouse farms green drink mixed with 4 oz. of water for lunch. 8oz. of Kale, beet, carrot, watermelon, and cucumber juice for dinner.I also drink plenty of water and herbal tea through out the day.
I have a Champion juicer, does anyone have any good cocktails I could make with that?
I want to stay with a majority of vegetable to keep my blood sugar from spiking.
