The daily recommended dose is 400mgm daily.
But, it is aborbed best when taken in divided dose -- like 3 times daily. If you take it once daily you only get between 8 to 10% what is on the container--
If taken 3X daily it increases to 36 to 40%.
Also, the best type absorbed is the Chelated type-- it is bonded to a protein amino acid -- it smaller and is absorbed through your intestinal walls more readily. Everycell in your body contains magnesium and 67% is in your bones for strength.
I like and use Carlson, Solgar and Kal as well as others that are the ones that are made by Albion Labs the company that has the International Patent on the Chelation Process and sells it to vitamin&mineral companies for manufacture & distribution.
