Magnesium is a muscle relaxer and the daily dose is 400mgm. Calcium also natures natural relaxer cannot be absorbed without magneium and vitamin D.
The best form that I have found is the chelated type magnesium and it is best absorbed if taken in divided doses-- 3 times dialy. It is contained in every cell of your body. And, 66% of your magnesium is in your bones.
If you are having spasms or muscle cramps -- chances are your system lacks magnesium.
