I have been dealing with a chronic cough d/t post nasal drip for almost a year.(mostly at night.) I have been to the doc 3x over past 9mths. Obtained zpack antibiotic the 1st time. The pink nonsteroid inhaler and a chest xray (all clear) 2nd time and finally rec of buying OTC product like Claritin.

None of this has worked. I have also used the neti-pot. It may help some for about a day but no real change and I didn't want to have to use it daily.

Any other suggestions that have worked for you?

Leea,

A very good device to help post nasal drip is a Grossan Hydro Pulse -- It is a Nasal/Sinus Irrigation System that really works --- many times better than a netti-pot.

Also, a homeopathic remedy that I use is Sabadilla --30X potency. Taken as needed.

how often are you using the neti pot? I would use it twice a day if you have chronic pnd

Make sure you're not having too much sugar or dairy products esp ice cream before bed. That will make you have post nasal drip too. I have had this problem for years too, off and on. Some things that may cure you may cause you to have a stuffy nose and/or head congestion. I decided I'd rather spit it out than having it stuck in my head. Are you close to menopause age? That will cause a host of problems. Please post and let us know if you find a solution.
