Anti-Inflammatory reactions...
I've always had access to Ibuprofen in 800mg, so now my tolerance is so high it doesn't affect me at all. I was injured snowboarding last week (bruised bone) in my knee and I was given Meloxicam and Vicodin for the pain. Well, I avoided the Vicodin until the migraines started a half hour after taking the Meloxicam! Thinking it was just coincidence (I've been getting migraines lately) I kept taking the Meloxicam only to go to the ER on Sunday for the pain. They wouldn't do anything, since the Vicodin wouldn't make it go away and they thought it was the Meloxicam. So my doc took me off both of those, then put me on Darvacet and Robaxin to help with the pain - well, neither of them are taking the pain away. Instead, I'm getting severe neasuea(sp) and the pain feels even worse. And the worst part! When they pulled me off the Darvacet, they told me to go back on the Vicodin, but wouldn't give me anymore even though all of them were gone because I took them for the migraines! They said it was too soon and that I need to wait until next week.
Now I don't know what to do. They don't think the pain is that bad because when they move it it does nothing, they won't take X-Rays, it mainly hurts to sit or climb even though walking is actually the least painful activity... But it's keeping me up at night, keeping me from working..and it's just awful.
What are any suggestions any of you can give me?
And are migraines normal as a side-affect for anti-inflammatories? That was just so odd to me...
Thanks for the time!
