I would be very cautious putting oil of oregano in that sensitive area. I take (orally) only 2 drops of oil of oregano in a little water for Lyme Disease. It is a very strong substance. You could try mixing a drop or two with whatever you plan to use as the mixing medium and first test it on your arm or hand to see the effect.
I have Vulvodynia too and have never heard of using oil of oregano for treatment. As the other posted said, please be careful what you put on your vulva. I apply Estrace cream topically and sometimes Emu Oil for dryness, burning, irritation. If any Vulvodynia sufferers want to talk, I'd love to hear from you. Sue
I've had it a few years longer than you have. I've just been using the things I mentioned in my other post and Acupuncture. My life is more bearable now, but my body still reminds me that I have VV. I wouldn't wish Vulvodynia on my worst enemy.
What does the acupuncture do exactly? I have been getting it to try and shrink my thyroid nodules but I did not know that it might work for vv. I have been on amitriptyline and neurontin for years. It helps but not enough to be able to hve sex without pain.
