Safe and Natural Lung Cleanse??

Hello, I've quit smoking last week after 25 years and I would like to take some herbal tonic that would help cleanse my lungs. Can anyone recommend anything?

thanks.

Re: Safe and Natural Lung Cleanse??

I was hoping there would be some responses to your post. I'm in the same boat and would love to know what I should take to support my lungs.

You can't "cleanse" your lungs.

However, eating a diet low in pro-inflammatory saturated fat and higher in anti-inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids can reduce symptoms of asthma, COPD, and maybe reduce the risk of cancer.

Re: Safe and Natural Lung Cleanse??

Has anyone looked into AHCC? It's mushroom extract that is supposed to have super antioxidant properties. I'm searching the board now, but not a lot of feedback.

Re: Safe and Natural Lung Cleanse??

nac - N-acetyl Cystine - thins mucus secretions and helps you to remove phleghm. Also helps protect the kidneys and regenerate the liver - they use it in the hospital when doing angiograms (liquid form mucomist) to protect the kidneys from damage, and to help the liver regenerate from tylenol poisoning. So it should help your liver get rid of all the toxins from years of smoking too. (I also was a smoker - quit 7 years now).
