Need help with a fever

I have had a fever since last Monday between 100 and 102 degrees. I take prescription pain meds that con tain Tylenol and don't want to take any more of that. I am deathly allergic to aspirin ibuprofen etc. Is there anything else I can do? Cool shower etc only seem to work for a short time. I would need something that I would have in the house already or that could be found in a small town grocery store. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I have bronchitis, I'm coughing up nasty stuff, but it's getting thinner and lighter in color every day. It's the fever that is a problem.

Keep a bottle of water in the refrigerator and drink frequently. Drinking plenty of cold water is the best thing I know of. Also, get plenty of rest and avoid direct sunlight. Engaging in light household chores like preparing meals (for yourself) is okay, but avoid anything beyond that.

Generally, bronchitis is nothing to play around with because it can turn to pneumonia and pneumonia can potentially be life threatening. So if it doesn't clear up in a reasonable amount of time, you should see your doctor.
