You'd probbaly get more releif with hydrocortisone cream - neosporin is an antibiotic, designed to treat and prevent infection. Hydrocortisone will help controll the reaction that the gold bond caused. The only real cure is time, and while you wait,,and bland cream or ointment (even Vaseline) will be soothing.

Re: Will Neosporin Help With Raw Burning Skin?

Hi I would not use neosporin or hydrocortisone since cortisone products can lower immunity of even an area and leave a person vulnerable to yeast problems in the body. I would instead get an aloe vera leaf squeeze the juice out of it and apply this to the red burning spot. A dermatologist might be consulted. Why was the gold bond applied in the first place?
