Re: need help with sleeping

Ambien is great but I discoverd I was sleep walking with it! I stopped taking it after I found out. My Doc doesn't believe in sleeping pills as they are addictive.
I have tried Melatonin and it helps sometimes, as least I feel rested when I use it and no side effects. I think I use 5mg because that is what I bought.

Re: need help with sleeping

I found Melatonin 5mg very helpful as well, firs day one, then half then a quarter, for about 2-3 days to get my sleeping cycle right and then stop until it is nesesary again, but only during the week. I take zoplicone 7.5mg some times, but only half tablet usually unless I am going crazy because I can't sleep, Melatonin not helpful in this cases.

Re: need help with sleeping

Yes, insomnia can be a real drag.

A wholistic doctor recommended to me plain oatmeal (a natural nervine to calm
ones nerves), and a cup of chamomile tea at night. It is extremely beneficial
and has no side effects in the morning. If I wake up in the middle of the night,
then I make a cup of sleepytime tea and can once again sleep.
Chamomile floweres are from the ragweed family.
Other nights homeopathic nervine tablets are a good friend, non habit forming,
rock me to sleep like a baby, and no side effects.
Good health wishes sent your way.

Re: need help with sleeping

Work hard during day time which will leave you very much tired when you are going to sleep. Don't think about your work load or any tensions when you are going to sleep. This are simple things which will definitely help you to get good sleep.
