Yes, it's true, you can search it yourself and see. Does it make you think twice about the safety of whatever you're taking? No wonder the FDA requires a disclaimer on every vitamin container. The FDA doesn't know if the vitamins you're taking are safe and effective. The chances are your vitamins and minerals (etc.) come from China and only a small fraction of their factories have been inspected.

Supplements are largely unregulated no matter where they come from. Federal law probibits the FDA f rom regulating supplements. That's partly to give us freedom of choice and partly because the two senators who wrote the law are from a state with a large supplement industry.
