Natural sleeping aids and mild depression

Can "natural" sleep aids cause a feeling of mild depression the next morning? I am currently taking one at night before bed which contains Gaba, Taurine, Glycine, Chamomile Flower Extract, Lemon Balm Aerial Parts, Skullcap Aerial Parts and Melatonin. These ingredients are all in one pill, and is made by a reputable company. Sometimes in the morning, I feel a very, very mild depression, but it "lifts" as the day goes on. Has anyone had any side effects from taking natural sleeping aids? I'm not even sure if the sleeping aids are causing this, but it would be great to have some feedback. I take no other pills whatsoever, (except vitamin pills).

I've taken things like that and didn't feel the a.m. depression. Do you think the reason you need a little sleep aid may
be related to a mild depression?

Yes sleep aids (even natural) can cause mild depression and are never recommended for someone with depression. It usually says that on all sleep aids. Have you tried taking it earlier than you plan to fall asleep so that effects may wear off earlier before your day begins.

My sister takes natural sleep aid at times but has to take it earlier cause its also slower to work --not as immediate like some sleeping pills can take you out.--

How long have you been taking them each night?

not being able to sleep is usualy the first sign of depression
i think you should look into the depression first, just taking somthing to make you sleep may not be the answer

I wanted to add that it can also be anxiety source for trouble sleeping...not just depression. (definitely treat your emotions first) sleep aids are really only meant to be used on occasion. Be careful.
