Re: Activities for Alzheimer patients
Dad "helps" with puzzles...I have the 12 piece and the table puzzles which are 24 pieces. He believes I purchase them for my little grandchildren and he is helping me put them together. At times I need to start the 24 piece and assist as needed.
He also enjoys the game Ker Plunk...We will play the game together and then he will put back most of the sticks, with me doing a few. This helps with coordination and can be time consuming, both of which are good for him.
He also enjoys the show "Everybody loves Raymond" so I have purchased the entire 6th series on DVD (Amazon) and when he needs a laugh and I need a bit of time to do something else, I will play one or 2.
Another thing which I have him do is to cut up paper which I have lined into note size and we put them by the phone for notes from calls.
Also on Amazon there is a book for activities for Alzheimer's patients. Gives activities for all levels.
Hope this helps.
