University of South Florida Green Tea Study

An ingredient in green tea may also protect the brain from AD says a recent study. An antoxidant EGCG found in green tea reduced plaque by 54%.

Google alzheimers green tea study for details.

Re: University of South Florida Green Tea Study

Amazing! I will have to learn to like green tea. I tried to find curry spice today and couldn't. Maybe it is not well known here in the midwest. I'll try again at a larger store. I would love to prevent AD if I can ... who wouldn't, if you have ever been a caretaker of an AD person ...

Thanks

Martha

Re: University of South Florida Green Tea Study

Martha

I dont know whether you looked at any of the web pages on this study but unfortunately drinking green tea is not the answer. It appears there are other ingredients in green tea which tend to nullify the EGCG, Im afraid ( darn-wouldnt you know it!)

You can buy supplements of EGCG however at health food stores and on the internet.
The same is true of circumin if you cant find the powder.

Keep well
