| Re: A Symptom of Alzheimers??
Hi,
Are you sure that she jerks and flings her legs up on purpose? Does she do them both at the same time? And how often? When she is asleep or try to sleep?
My dad has Parkinsons and alzheimers. Jerking arms and legs is a symptom of parkinsons. He does not do it too much yet. As he progresses, with his parkinsons getting worse, then it will do it all the time and probl have some meds for it.
I have restless leg syndrome. It is like when you go to bed. You are either, already asleep and it wakes you or you are just settling in. Just for a while, does it (your legs or leg). Sometimes it is hard to go back to sleep.
Other times, it does it in the afternoon and you try stomping you feet and rubbing your legs. Sometimes that helps for a while and sometimes not.
Well, my family dr. gave me a new medicine for restless legs and it does work!!! I take 1/2 pill in afternoon and 1/2 pill before bedtime.
You should talk to the dr. and see which this is ? Sometimes, what seem like it is on purpose, seems for real when you look at it again or in another way>???
God Luck.
Love, Wannabe
