In today's (12/08) Miami Herald there is a column by Ellen Goodman entitled "The Woman Who Taught Me Family Values".
The article not only speaks of her Mother's life before and after dementia but equally important, the effects on the loved ones.
"There is little that is harder in life than watching the slow disappearance of someone you love".
It is worth reading.
