Unfortunately, there are no hard and fast rules for any of the stages, except to say that I have heard there is roughly a 10 year life span from diagnosis to death. That is only an estimate too .. an a pretty gruesome one at that eh?
Because each individual is, exactly that, an individual, each stage is unique for each person. Similar, but unique. In Australia we don't go by the 7 stages as a rule there are only 3, early, mid and advanced, but I prefer to go by the 7 stages personally.
There is no answer for you here I think .. it's all guesswork as we learn.
