My FIL with Alzheimers was rushed to hospital in an ambulance yesterday after having a seizure. He went deathly pale and then began convulsing violently. He was unable to answer me when I called to him and was barely able to maintain consciousness. He has a slightly enlarged heart, irregular heat rythm, Diabetes type 2, hypertension and Glaucoma. Straight after the seizure the ambulance officers found he had very low blood pressure and his pulse was very irregular. At the hospital they did every X-ray, Scan and blood test they could think of. The tests showed nothing abnormal apart from his existing health conditions. I was told that he had all the classic symptoms of Parkinsons disease on top of the Alzheimers. Has anyone out there had experience with seizures associated with Alzheimers or a loved one with both Alzheimers and Parkinsons. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
