Just wanted to let you all know that my wife, Betsy has had major decline over the past couple of days. We will be moving her to Hospice later today and at that point, all life support efforts will end. SO I'm thinking in the next 24-48 hours, she'll be free.
Thanks so much for all of your support and caring. It means a lot.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife at this time Ken. I do hope she has a quick and easy passing. It is such a difficult time yet there is a peace in knowing that her struggle will be over and she will be free. Keep in touch.... we do care!
May God be with you as you go through these last few days. I hope you find the peace you will need, and that there is a bright future for you out there after the passing of time, when all this is just a memory.
Ken, I wish I had my bible with me today. In it is an article I kept called 'sketches' and its about thinking and wishing of loved ones after they pass.
Your wife will be in a better, happier place. Please get the book 90 minutes in heaven by don Porter. it afforded me such peace as to what heaven was life for my husband and others.
I am thinking of you.
Always your friend -- CaringSister54 (aka Diane)
P.S. Let your daughter read over your shoulder a minute . . .
you were a gift by God to you parents and I'm sorry that you cheated of your mother during the most important years of your life. Your Dad is doing the best he can. My heart aches for the loss you will experience but reach out to others. There are earth's angels sent by God all around and you never know when one will cross your path.
Live a good life young lady. Your Mom will watch from heaven and help your guardian angel guide you to achieve the best you can. There's a whole life waiting for you out there.
Your mother will love you forever and you will her ... give your Dad a hug and tell him its from all of us ladies here on the board. he's been a good man.
Just wanted to let you all know that Betsy passed this afternoon about 4 CST. I made it to Hospice just a couple of minutes beforehand. It was a very sweet moment. We are all doing fine. Relieved and at peace. Yes, there is life after FTD.
Thanks for all of your kind words and support. Take care. Kenny
Kenny I am so sorry for your loss. I respect your feelings on this and understand how hard this journey was for you and your family. Your wife finally has the much needed relief and peace and I'm glad that you are feeling it too.
Ken, I am sure you will miss your wife and your daughter will miss her Mom but it was her time and she is now at peace. Your strength, that you have show in dealing with this situation is monumental. I am sure you will go forward and make a good life for you and your daughter. Know that my thoughts and prayers go with you. May you hold on to the peace that you have found.
