Hey, gang. Well, it's been 2 weeks since Betsy passed away with Pick's. And just when we thought the worst was over, my mom died 3 days later. So it's been quite a whirlwind for the last two weeks.
But we are doing good. Moving on and making the best of it. So, hopefully now, the worst IS over. I'm so ready to rest and then get on with life.

Oh dear, I am so sorry your Mom also passed away. That's a lot for you to have to bear.
Somehow we get through it all. In my experince the first whole year is the hardest, especially the first birthday, the first anniversary, Mother's Day, Christmas etc. Then it becomes easier. You never forget the loved one, but your life takes other directions.

I am sorry you lost your mother as well as Betsy but I like to think that one has to pass first so that it smoothes the way for the other to come through.
My prayers are with you and your daughter during this difficult time. She may cling towards you more because she's going to internalize - "what will happen to me if something happens to my dad too".
Comfort her and support her and let her know you will be there I had to literally push my son back into life again after his dad's passing because he was so scared that something would happen to me as well.

My deepest sympathies on the death of your Mother. I hope you can now get some much needed rest, as you said. You have certainly been through two of the most difficult deaths in anyones life. My heart goes out to you and your daughter. All of my thoughts and prayers to you both.
