Re: Help, my Mother is so aggressive

Oh Debs you are so right, I thought I knew the doctor on my Mother's ward so well as I used to take my MIL to his clinic but on the ward he just goes to the nurses station and then goes off.

Doctors seem afraid to make emotional contact with patients or relatives.

Re: Help, my Mother is so aggressive

I know one incident about my FIL's doctor back home. The home care group kept saying this GP was not nice. But he was political with us. Once he came to the house as he made house calls for the elderly. Well my FIL was sick at that time and the caregiver asked him to go to the bedroom to see my FIL. My FIL was sick and didn't get up as usual. My caregiver told me the GP actually was reluctant to go inside and he asked my FIL to come out to the living room to his usual recliner!! The bedroom was only 10 steps away! I think he probably went inside eventually.
The caregiver was really mad at it. I didn't see it so I heard of this. So indeed GPs seem to try to have a distance!!

Re: Help, my Mother is so aggressive

hi My father has just been placed. My father who has been amazing man and a gentleman out of the blue attacked my Mom at home. We knew he had Alzheimer for sometime but refused to believe we needed to place him till that time. He is now in th ehome..hitting people with pillows and delibertetly trying to upset patience. He often would get angry with me and say things that he would never say. I now when I metion things that happen, I no longer say Dad does this. I say the Alzheimer does it. Alheimers hit the guy with a pillow and Alzheimer upset the otehr people.

I am sorry for your sadness and each time you think of something sad or bad that has happend be good to yourself and remember a good memory. i am certain it is how your mom would of wanted you to think of it.

God Bless
kevin
