Janny, this is the post which made my day

I do remember you from before and I am so very glad that you have come to terms with this disease and can find the blessing within. It is a process of acceptance and looking beyond the negative to the positive. Mom is in a sister facility also in their secure area. We got off to a great beginning, had some bumps in the middle, but now we are back on smooth sailing. I too found guidance from the support group in the early days. After that bump we have a new vibrant group again. I know many hesitate joining a support group but the benefits are worth the effort. Yep, I have my walk team started as well. I had to smile. I have to say hello to ALL the residents before I can settle down with Mom for a few minutes! There is such joy and blessings to be found. Even in the midst of all that this disease is you can find ways to enjoy the moment, give back, and find the blessing.
Thank you for letting us know how you are doing. Thank you for giving us a happy moment. I am so glad that it is all going so well for you and your Mom. Keep us updated occasionally. You are an inspiration!
Love, deb
PS.... Volunteering is always good
