normal EMG/NCV a good thing?
 

I have had all over painless twitching now for 2 months. The dr. ran bloodwork. It was all normal and so they sent me to a neurologist. Exam and EMG/NCV were all normal. I found EMG/NCV on a list of diagnostic tests for ALS but I am not clear on whether it is used to eliminate the possibility of other conditions that mimic ALS. So is a normal EMG/NCV a positive thing as far as ALS goes, or does it mean nothing? Thanks, Natterbus
