| Does this sound like ALS?
Hello, I have been having some concerning symptoms lately, I am worried they might be ALS.
About 4 months ago the right side of my body felt weaker than my left, from my head to my toes. About a month after that the left side of my body also felt weak, but my right side felt a bit weaker. Around 2 weeks after that, my muscles started twitching, beginning in my knee and eyebrow and moving to bodywide after a few weeks.
At the moment I still have function in all my bodyparts, I can walk, drive, etc. I have been to a neurologist who gave me a head MRI, found nothing, then told me that I shouldn't be worried. The only thing anyone has found is elevated liver enzymes. Recently I've found it more difficult to talk, like it takes a great deal of effort.
Does this sound like ALS? I haven't gotten any worse over the past month or so but I'm leaving the country in a few months so I'd like some additional input.
