 When will anemia pass?
Hello...I was admitted into hospital a week and a half ago. The day I was admitted, I had my bloods taken and a complete work up done. I was fine...no anemia, no anything. 5 days later, they took my bloods again, and I am now anemic and having to take iron supplement tabs. Granted, I am 9 months pregnant, but still...I find it a bit strange that when I was admitted, I was fine, but then 5 days later, I am anemic. Strange and annoying. Anyway, the midwives have never told me how long I am to take my tabs, so I was wondering how long it takes to get my iron back to normal. If anyone knows, I would be really happy. Is my anemia caused by my pregnancy or could it have been the rubbish food I was given in hospital that had absolutely NO nutritional value whatsoever? I've never had anemia before in all the bloods that have been taken prior to the most recent, and have made sure that I ate/am eating well whilst pregnant. Like I said, I just find it strange and annoying that all of a sudden I'm anemic.
