Headaches and Anemia - Anemia Message Board

I have been having a constant headache for two months and am curious if this is possibly anemia. I hv been a strict vegetarian for 4 years and no problems and I even take all the required vitamins. I also seem to bruise easily. I have been to Drs and they have ruled out all the majors things but could this be a possibility or am I stretching it?

Yes, it could very well be. I was a vegetarian for 5 years. I was bruising, shortness of breath,pale. My hair was falling out in the sink and shower. My blood count was a severe "4". I had to be hospitalized and get a blood tranfusion. I feel better now but it took a long time. I normal woman blood count range is 12-15. So get the test to see what your range is. you'll be glad you did. FIND A DOCTOR THAT WILL REALLY LISTEN. Good luck!
