| Re: Iron in Food?
It might be a good idea to visit a nutritionist to get best ideas of what to eat, especially, if you don't eat meat. Red meat is one of the best souces of iron. There are some foods that you really have to include citrus or vitamin C with to have the best aborption and some foods inhibit the uptake of iron.
I got a vitamin supplement from my chiropractor. It is called Hemogenics and is put out by Metagenics. It is a vegetarian dietary supplement that contains iron as well as B vitamins and a few other vitamins. Says it is support for red blood cell formation. Contains 29 mg of iron, which isnt a lot if really really anemic. It is just a supplement to add to a diet that might not have enough iron.
