Could anemia cause chest pain?

I know anemia can cause dizzyness. When you walk, lay down on bed, sitting or writing... the chest pain will come and go like a needle poking. I wonder anyone has that sensation? Pika.

Re: Could anemia cause chest pain?

yes anemia does cause chest pain , it took 18 moths for my correct diagnosis, because doctors thought it was a heart problem although tests all proved negative , my heamaglobin levels are high now, they were 5 and some days i can still have the pain, like you say a needle like pain, you have to try not to panic it only makes it worse, the more you know about the condition the more reasued you can be about the symptoms you have, i used to think ,like alot of people do, that anemia just caused you to be pale and that you had to eat the right sort of foods !! how wrong was i read the threads on this site and you will soon see that there is more to it than you think.
Hope you feel better soon x

Re: Could anemia cause chest pain?

My chest pain from anemia is like a rock or elephant sitting on my chest. It is very much like a pending heart attack when it occurs. Always get chest pain checked out. Never assume it is anemia.

Re: Could anemia cause chest pain?

Thanks every one of you so prompt to reply.

I use to have elephant sit on my chest every day. Now, the pain comes, it seems the elephant had gone. My vision is blurr and I saw two green traffic light side by side ! Eye dr said nothing serious just live with it.

The pain is a bit hard to explain, Sometime it likes ant bite, sometime it like squeeze. Stabbing, yes, it probably will make me chasing for a breath after that. I just feel like I'm running out of energy, everything is falling apart!

Pika
