! How low is your ferritin? What do you consider a normal Hgb value. It would be up to your doctor to know how much iron and for how long. I can tell you from my own experience my Hgb is now normal/optimal at 14.0 and I have to take 150 mgs daily of Poly Iron, my ferritin is now 58 after 2 years. But they think
that I have malabsorption. Hope that helps you. Keep us posted.
